The washing system removes impurities such as proteins and small molecules present in the solution, achieving rapid separation and purification of nucleic acids without the use of toxic reagents such as chloroform. The procedure is simple, requiring no centrifugation, making it ideal for automated instrument processing and enabling high-throughput extraction.
